Like….my god. I grew up in a family of five that lived off $25k for like four years straight. It was hellish, most of the time.  so yeah this guy is an asshole and things he owns need to set themselves on fire. like I don’t want him to get hurt or have his house burn down i just want it to be irritating, like “Oh, fuck, I really wanted to eat that PopTart, but it spontaneously combusted.” or “Where did the remote go, honey? Damn it, ashes again?” or “Honey, do I have to take a bath? The shower curtain just disappeared in a flash of flame.” what if that was his mutant ability whenever he looked for something it just burst into flames. whoa whoa whoa gwen so like Okay, what if this guy got granted mutant abilities but they were always inconvenient So he has the ability to set things on fire, but it happened each time he looked for something or Every time he needed to urinate, he would expel it as a powder through a sneeze and he could not control when the sneeze would happen. or He could travel through time! But it would happen every 60 seconds, and he would only travel back in time to 5 seconds ago and he could never control this, so he’d have to repeat his life in five-second increments every minute for the rest of his life. Yeah, that would be awesome. That last one would totally drive him insane. I hope he gets that one.
